Serving In the Body

Hope Connects

What Is the "Body of Christ?"

The local church is referred to as the "body of Christ" in the scriptures. Christ is the head of the church and gives direction to His body. He does so through the Holy Scriptures, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and believers that he calls and equips. The local church is made up of many parts— all working together to accomplish God's will on the earth.

We believe that serving in the church from a sincere heart is an act of worship. For this reason every Christian should spend the necessary time and effort it takes to learn about their particular area of giftedness and commit to using it for God's glory.

There are many service opportunities to keep our church building up to par. We have the weekly cleaning ministry, which consists of 2 or more persons cleaning the inside of the church. Cleaning is done on a Friday or Saturday morning, with rotations about every 6 to 7 weeks.
We also have the general maintenance ministry, which consists of minor repairs inside and outside the church. This ministry is on an as needed basis and is assigned according to your skill.

Worship Arts

Singing or playing an instrument during our services or special music events, operating the sound board or video presentations during church services.
